    Description

Vintage McCoy Standard Gauge TCA 24
    th
Convention Boston MA Caboose in its Original Box.
McCoy Manufacturing was a small American toy train producer based in Kent, WA, founded by Bob McCoy Sr. and his family.
McCoy was known for creating larger scale stamped steel trains, and was part of a group of modern era Standard gauge train manufacturers.
McCoy production differs from earlier vintage tinplate standard gauge production in its use of thicker steel and its use of silk screening processes, rather than lithography, decals, rubber stamps, or brass plates. McCoy had special relationships with the Train Collectors Association and the Toy Train Operating Society, creating many Standard gauge convention cars, club cars and locomotives for these organizations.  These cars utilized the regular McCoy all-steel construction with industrial enamel finish and silk screened artwork.
Between 1966 and 1981 and then between 1988 and 1998, McCoy manufactured a series of freight cars for the various divisions and chapters of TCA that hosted the National conventions each year.
    This is the
McCoy Standard Gauge TCA 24th Convention Boston Ma Caboose and appears it was made in 1978 (according to the paper in the box with it).

Thank you for your interest. Before placing a bid or making an offer, please read the following:
Photos tell much more than words. I make an effort to include well lighted photos that are bright and clear  that show many different angles. The photos show much detail and are the most important part of the description. I will also provide a reasonable detailed description of what I have found through research as an addition to the photos. Between the two you should be able to ascertain what you are bidding on. Should you have any questions or need additional information, please ask in advance before submitting a bid or making an offer.
I am not an expert in model trains; however I do make an effort to do some research so that items are listed correctly. I do not have a way to test trains or other items. I do not make any representation about the condition or suitability of any engine or motor for any particular purpose. No warranty of any kind is provided regarding operability of any item. Items are vintage and collectible and some may be very old. They will need some TLC and basic maintenance and possible repairs.
All items are sold “as is” and there are to be no returns; in the unlikely event there would be a return, buyer would be responsible for return shipping.
Payment is through eBay and expected within 3 days of a winning bid/offer/purchase.
If you happen to purchase multiple items, they may be sent together to save on shipping. They will be carefully packed and generally shipped as soon as possible after payment clears. Very large packages may be shipped via UPS. In the unlikely event there should be damage during shipping, buyer agrees to process any claim eligible for insurance coverage directly through the carrier. If carrier tracking indicates an item has been delivered, but somehow you did not receive it, buyer agrees to follow through with the local  carrier and/or postmaster and process any claim eligible for insurance coverage directly through the carrier. If carrier tracking indicates an item has not been delivered, the insurance claim will be handled on my end.
Your interest and questions are very important and I make an effort to be prompt with responses. I greatly appreciate you expecting a reasonable response time. Thank you again for your interest!
